Creating a dessert bar doesn't have to exist complicated… Really!
We invited our closest friends over for dinner, and since we hadn't seen them in what felt like AGES, I wanted to do a lilliputian something special to arrive up to them, and surprise them with a dessert bar.
Yeah, I know what you're thinking:
Jessica, yous're crazy. Who has time to do something similar that during the vacation season?
Just I'm and then ecstatic to tell you that you TOO can create a dessert bar, with a few elementary tips and tricks that I have upwards my sleeve.
What a fabulous "Wow," factor that this will create, when your friends walk in the door. They'll feel extremely special that you "spent all of that fourth dimension," creating something simply considering they were coming over. Only petty will they know, it didn't accept hardly whatsoever time at all. 😉

Tips for Creating a Vacation Dessert Bar
Let me show you the details of the dessert bar that I created here, and I'll fill you in on like shooting fish in a barrel ways to make information technology happen. PLUS… I'm sharing a BUTTERFINGER® Puppy Chow recipe & a Chocolate Flake Surprise CRUNCH® Cookie idea, at the finish!
#ane. Tip: Use what you already accept. I say this time & time once again… but I mean it. If y'all're creating a holiday themed dessert bar, pull Christmas decorations from other parts of the house, and fill up your table with decor. I guarantee your guests won't fifty-fifty notice it used to exist elsewhere.
Practice you see that glorious BUTTERFINGER® Puppy Grub ? Yeah… recipe below.
#2. Tip: Keep the serve wearable neutral. Since I entertain a lot, I usually keep my eye out for "skillful deals," on white or kraft-colored serve ware. That way, when I decide to host a gathering, I'll typically have what I need on hand, and can utilise it at the drop of a hat. Sticking with white & neutral volition typically permit you to hands color coordinate with the theme you have going on.
Yes, that'due south fudge. The NESTLE® CARNATION® Famous Fudge Kit came in super handy, because I was able to whip information technology upwardly in no-time, add together a few festive pieces of peppermint, and it suddenly went with the vacation theme.
#iii. Remember Pre-Made. Desserts are EVERYWHERE. Buying something premade, or semi-fabricated, and adding a special touch to it, making it your ain… tin put a dainty spin on something, and y'all'll be a shining star with your creativity. I literally dashed in to Walmart, grabbed a few of my favorite NESTLE® goodies, and my dessert bar carte was a get. They always know how to make life easy for a busy gal on the go.
The Chocolate Chip Surprise Crisis® cookies below? Totally snagged a tub of the NESTLE® Cost HOUSE® Refrigerated Cookie Dough, rolled it in to pocket-size balls and inserted i of the NESTLE® CRUNCH® Jingles in the center and baked it. Aye… I was the dessert hero, and information technology inappreciably took whatsoever time. Tutorial for this cookie below besides!
#4. Mini is in. Serving the desserts in small-scale portions, is ever a hit with my dessert bars. Guests are able to apace choice upward the item they want and walk abroad with it. The small portion sizes let them to snack on a little bit of everything.
#v. Fill the table Upward! I accept a trouble with leaving a dessert table with blank spaces. I used to be a firm laic that you lot couldn't overlap anything, and everything had to be lined up perfectly. That'southward merely not the example. A dessert tabular array doesn't have to be completed covered in desserts… but if you're left with empty spaces, fill them up with "something." This gives the advent that it's "all put together." Rather than a, blank… plain looking table, that'south defective a little somethin'-somethin'.
So if you follow me on Facebook or Periscope, you may have seen the the footling sneak top video of how I was setting upwards my holiday dessert bar. Only in case y'all missed information technology, you can encounter that below:
